Thermal, ridge and wave today flying from Portmoak, Scotland A day of thermal ,ridge and wave for me today. Managed to climb to just over 9000 feet in this small wave gap. I was lucky to stumble into a 4 knot thermal under nearly 8/8th of cloud after winch launching and heading for the nearby ridge. After the wave I ended up low upwind of the Ochils and had to ridge soar them until I found a thermal that gave me the height to get back home. All in all a great afternoon on a day that looked pretty hopeless due the cloud cover
