Flying is Back( at least ON LINE)

After a successful test flight last night BWND is back in business!
( at least with Condor2 πŸ‘πŸ˜‚)

We clocked up our first 360 (virtual) Kms between us with varied results, two successful land outs, very close to home and an enjoyable evening was had by all.

I would like to invite anyone to join us again on Monday evening at 19.00 for another short task.

hopefully it won’t be long before REAL flying commences

stay safe

George

  1. Great group Condor flight last night πŸ™‚.

Many thanks George for setting it up πŸ‘πŸ».

There was one part in particular of last nights online foray my fellow club members, that you might find amusing πŸ˜‰. We are of course all just finding our feet at the moment with online group flying, which meant as I logged on at the prescribed time of 19:30 last night, I found myself very unexpectedly seated in a futuristic looking Lak Genesis 2, which I hadn’t flown before! The task start times on Condor are time limited, and not wanting to miss the task start led to me mid-way through my online aero tow, checking online on my phone to see if the Lak had flaps or not! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

It was all good fun πŸ™‚ and George has promised me that on the next task, I can fly the lovely little ASW19B (with the very fetching Alps paint livery πŸ˜‰) that I’ve been practicing in for the past few evenings πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ».

Terrific experience, flying with fellow club members online, with some good banter on the Condor chat facility πŸ™‚. I managed to fly a virtual 98.4k, before landing gently out in a field, just north east of Longleat approx 7k short of the Park.

Really good fun, definitely recommended to all, looking forward to George’s next task on Monday evening πŸ™‚.

Welcome to Cyberspace Gliding dear aviators πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰.

    Thanks.

    Kind regards.

    1. Sadly I can’t join in on the fun as I own a MacBook Pro computer & according to the Condor team I need “to run on a Mac you need either bootcamp, or parallels. Probably best to talk to a Mac expert for that.” (they’re quote).

That said, the good news is that Julie has set up a virtual bacon butty site so that your not flying on an empty stomach, please email your orders half an hour in advance of your take off time πŸ™‚

  2. Evening All

Ok,RASP predicts another good day, winds are from the South West, cloud base will be around 4000ft with variable thermal strengths.
Monday’s task will be the Club 100k.
    TIS-BRU-MEL.
Hopefully launching will start at 19.00 and there will be a better choice of glider to play inπŸ‘
Don’t forget to order you butties in good timeπŸ˜‹ and please keep the alcohol intake to a minimum or at least in till we get in the barπŸ˜‚
    See you there
    George
